SOPA

Aaron Swartz (1986-2013)

“Aaron dead. World wanderers, we have lost a wise elder. Hackers for right, we are one down. Parents all, we have lost a child. Let us weep.”

Tim Berners-Lee

On the 11th of January, Aaron Swartz died at the age of 26. He was a computer programmer, writer and internet activist. On the occasion of his death, watch with Greek subtitles his speech “How we stopped SOPA” at F2C:Freedom to Connect 2012, Washington DC, on May 21 2012, and remember his critical role in the victory against SOPA, the bill against piracy on the internet. Aaron Swartz was and will keep being a source of inspiration in the fight of people for human liberties.
